Drill Sarge

Apple Watch app

Privacy policy

Your workouts stay on your Watch.

Updated October 8, 2026. Developer: James McShane.

Drill Sarge does not collect or send personal data to the developer or third parties. The app has no accounts, ads, analytics SDKs, or tracking.

Data stored on your Watch

The app stores your settings, routines, reminder plans, workout history, and optional weekly goal locally so they remain available when you reopen it.

The Watch app and its widget share a small local summary: onboarding and pause state, today's completed-workout count, whether a workout can resume, and upcoming reminder dates. The widget does not read your sleep records or full workout history.

Optional HealthKit access

Only if you enable Use sleep history, Drill Sarge reads recent completed sleep records to estimate reminder hours within your chosen waking hours. It saves the resulting estimate locally, does not retain raw sleep records, does not write Health data, and does not send Health data anywhere.

This uses historical information. It does not detect whether you are currently asleep or awake. Missing, stale, or inconsistent records fall back to the hours you choose.

Turn off Use sleep history in Settings to stop these reads. You can also revoke Health access in Apple's Health or privacy settings. The app remains usable without Health access.

Retention and deletion

Local app data is retained until you erase it. In Settings, choose Erase local app data to clear settings, routines, reminder plans, workout history, and the widget summary, and cancel scheduled reminders. This does not delete or change your Health records.

Apple controls system permissions, notifications, device backups, and any diagnostics you choose to share through its services. Those services are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
