Your Privacy Matters: SquadSync is built to help gamers connect safely. We only collect the information necessary to provide our coordination services, and we never sell your personal data to third parties.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the SquadSync service, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or Apple private relay address), display name, and profile picture (if provided).
- User Content: We store the messages, media attachments, squad details, and session information you create within the app to sync them across your devices and with your squad members.
- Social Interaction Data: We collect data on your squad memberships, friend requests, and session RSVPs to facilitate the social features of the app.
- Safety Data: We store the reports you submit and your blocking actions to help maintain a safe environment.
- Device & Usage Info: We collect timezone information and device tokens for push notifications to ensure you receive timely alerts.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used strictly for:
- Providing and maintaining the SquadSync service.
- Facilitating communication between squad members and friends.
- Sending push notifications for session reminders and messages.
- Ensuring community safety through moderation, blocking, and reporting.
- Improving app performance and fixing bugs.
3. Information Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. Your data is shared only in the following contexts:
- With Other Users: Your display name, avatar, and squad-related activity are visible to other members of the squads you join and to your friends within the app.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We use industry-standard services (such as Apple for Sign in with Apple and push notifications) to operate the app. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their specific functions.

6. Your Rights and Choices
You have full control over your data:
- Access & Update: You can update your profile information directly within the app settings.
- Data Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time via the "Delete Account" option in settings. This will remove your profile, squad memberships, and personal information from our active servers.
- Notification Controls: You can manage or disable push notifications through your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
SquadSync is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and through in-app notifications where appropriate.
